fragmented body is a meditation on the (dis)connections felt between our bodies, memories, and experiences. Proposing a compassionate yet critical dialogue using alternative and analog photographic processes, each artist in the exhibition investigates their subjective relationship with their bodies, especially how fraught, alienating, and complex these relationships can be.
Rather than focus on external pressures, the artists work towards reclamations of their bodies, offering paths of processing, reconnection, and healing.
fragmented body rejects traditional notions of image representation in favour of creating something less tangible; moments of empathy and connection between viewer and artist.
