nơi ánh sáng lọt qua
where the light seeps in
nơi ánh sáng lọt qua is a body of work developed in 2025 using cyanotype on fabric. The project draws from family photographs originating in the artist’s grandparents’ private archive, alongside newer images, translated through multiple photographic processes. Printed on cotton canvas and domestic textiles, the works situate memory within materials shaped by touch, use, and time.
Sunlight and environmental conditions played an active role in the image-making process, particularly in works produced in Vietnam while the artist was visiting her grandparents. The resulting forms emerge gradually and unpredictably, reflecting memory as something porous and continually reconfigured rather than fixed.
Curtains and softened spatial boundaries recur throughout the work, evoking the home as both a physical structure and an interior landscape. The pieces range from large hanging works to more intimate formats, inviting viewers to move among them and encounter memory as layered, lived, and in motion.
Following the project’s development, two works from the series, nơi ánh sáng lọt qua (150 × 200 cm, 2025) and bóng rèm (curtain shadow) (200 × 150 cm, 2025), are available through Mot++ (Hồ Chí Minh City).
